Devica's Green Mango Sour Sauce

This is super easy to make!

1 cup
  • 2 med. green mango
  • 21/2 c water
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 3 wri wri peppers (whole)
  • a pinch of geera/cumin (optional)

Methods/steps

  1. Peel and thinly slice the mango (discard the seed)
  2. Pour 11/2 cups of water into a pot, and then add remaining ingredients (mango, garlic, pepper, cumin (optional) into a pot and boil over med-high heat.
  3. Boil until everything is soft (add additional water if it starts to get too dry). Once everything is soft in consistency, mash with a fork
  4. Add salt to taste

This dish is hassle free and easy to make. I used half ripe mangoes instead of green. Had no green mangoes at the time I made it, which gave this dish a hint of sweet. My friends loved it with polourie and potato balls. ! Spicy, sweet and Hot!
