This long, green bean is also known as
chinese long beans and yard long beans. It is a very versatile and
healthy vegetable which can be eaten raw or cooked. It is known to be
a good source of protein, vitamin A, thiamin and iron (just to name a
few of its nutritional values). When buying bora, choose ones that
look young and slender, since this when they are at their best. Bora
can be made into a tasty meal when it is sauteed with meat or shrimp
and served with either rice or roti. It can also be finely chopped
and put in chow mein and fried rice.
