Pronounced "wee-ree wee-ree", this pepper variety is very popular in Guyana. The peppers grow upright, and turn from green, to orange and then to red when it is mature.
This hot little pepper, also known as cherry peppers, is a favourite to add when preparing dishes or enjoyed as a pepper sauce. In Guyana, hot pepper sauce is enjoyed on just about every kind of savoury food from scambled eggs to fried rice. |
